Asked to describe his company in one sentence, Mr Richard Felson says, “Business accelerator in the wellness area.” And that is exactly what he and his partner Mr Nithiyanantham are working towards at Neer International.

After retiring from the Indian Air Force, Mr. Felson, the co-founder, worked in the wellness area for 6 years. Now, with the setting up of Neer International, he is using his expertise to accelerate companies working in the wellness area.

Neer International assists small and mid-sized companies with scaling. Once a company is on board, they  train them in company management,  finance and administration for six months from the day they come on board., They subsequently help structure several areas of the organization such as hiring, digitalization and business education. They make the company look desirable in the eyes of investors and connect them to potential investors through the GoGlobal ecosystem.

Neer International is primarily working in the wellness sector which includes organically grown food like rice, honey, oil, besides ionized water, ecofriendly sanitary napkins, martial arts, eco-friendly tourism etc that has a strong connection to organic living. They feel such expansion is possible by identifying markets and branching out to multiple ventures via supply chain.

Ionized water

Regarding ionized water, Mr Felson, who has worked with ionized products explains, “We will help making ionized water available by setting up RO treatment plants in apartments and water vending machines.”

Still in their nascency, Neer International has a short term goal of acquiring 10 companies to accelerate and set up several martial arts schools to offer yoga and martial arts training.

“We want to impart wisdom through martial arts, which is getting lost in today’s sports-crazy scenario,” Neer’s other co-founder Mr. Nithiyanantham said. ““We have extreme focus on organic and natural products. We are looking at providing supreme wellness.”

Their plans also include setting up an adventure club to encourage trekking and hiking.

“We will accelerate by finding additional sources of income for the companies. If they are selling only one product, we will help them accelerate. We will study the businesses, explore the potential of multiple streams of income and help them adapt,”  Mr Felson explains further.

Some of the companies they are working with are Alaineer Aqua Solutions Pvt. Ltd, which is into providing drinking water, Varam Organic Foods, which deals with organic foods by buying directly from the farmers and No Oil-No Boil! a padayal restaurant and Chozha Academy or Gurukul, which teaches ancient Tamil traditional war arts.

Presently, Neer International has its headquarters in Chennai and an office in Coimbatore. They are working along with GoGLOBAL on several programs like Challenge the challenge –which GoGLOBAL offers to business leaders willing to learn Silicon Valley business methods and join their larger ecosystem in which Neer is also a part. They are looking at taking the companies forward through social media promotions.
